Brown Hired As Economic Development Coordinator In Waukee
The City of Waukee recently hired Jennifer Brown as its new Economic Development Coordinator. Brown began her role with the City on May 10.

The City of Waukee recently hired Jennifer Brown as its new Economic Development Coordinator. Brown began her role with the City on May 10. She will spend her days serving as a liaison between the public and private sectors to facilitate growth and expansion of existing Waukee businesses, and she will work to attract new businesses.

“Jennifer’s background includes 20-plus years working in various economic development capacities. Her experiences range from business retention efforts to focusing on expanding business and industry,” said Waukee Development Services Director Brad Deets. “We look forward to having Jennifer share her talents with the Waukee business community.”
Most recently, Brown was in charge of the Business Retention and Expansion Program and innovative workforce development programs for the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce in Appleton, WI. Prior to that role, she spent a decade leading the Kewaunee County Economic Development Corporation, and she served in the City of Green Bay, WI’s Economic Development Department. Brown is no stranger to Iowa, having graduated from Central College with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She also holds a master’s degree in Management from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay.
