Enjoy WinterFest On Wheels On December 4 In Waukee
A virtual tree lighting ceremony will kick off the evening at 6 p.m.

The typical WinterFest event is being switched up to “WinterFest on Wheels” this year in an effort to maintain social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic. WinterFest on Wheels will be held Friday, Dec. 4 from 6-8 p.m. A virtual tree lighting ceremony will kick off the evening at 6 p.m. Tune into the Waukee Parks & Recreation Facebook page for the live video.

Then, head to the Waukee Public Works Building at 6:10 p.m. where Santa Claus and his helpers will hand out treats and goodies as visitors drive through one of the building’s vehicle bays. Participants will stay in their vehicles. An ice sculptor demonstration, book donations from Charter Bank, a holiday light competition and a toy drive will also be held with modifications.
