Festival of Trees is Wonderfully Festive

The Village at Legacy Pointe, a retirement community in Waukee, Iowa, hosts their eighth annual Festival of Trees

Thirteen Christmas trees could be found throughout The Village at Legacy Pointe this holiday season for their eighth annual Festival of Trees. The trees were decorated by residents, staff and local vendors, all vying for votes to become the community’s favorite tree.

Festive treats including cookies, fudge and hot cider were enjoyed by those voting while Christmas music played in the background. “Beautifully decorated trees and music really bring out the Christmas spirit,” said resident, Gene Lankford.

“Everyone did such a fantastic job decorating the trees in creative and surprising ways,” said Amy Barth, Executive Director at The Village at Legacy Pointe. “This event really brings out the festive holiday spirit in our community.”
