Four Car Pileup Results in Ticket for Driver: Waukee Police Reports

Rick Peterson of 865 S.E. Bell Drive, Waukee, reported a fraudulent use of a credit card. The loss was valued at $640.

Three vehicles driven by Chase Cody of 1010 68th Street, West Des Moines,  Christine Glenn of 7143 Dakota Drive, West Des Moines, and Florence Eckerd of 740 Dartmoor Drive, Waukee, were all eastbound on Hickman Road. While they were stopped at a traffic light at the intersection with Alice's Road, police said a vehicle driven by Dallas Winter of 5225 Twana Drive, Des Moines, was eastbound on Hickman and didn't notice the vehicles stopped for the light. Winter's vehicle reportedly struck Eckerd's vehicle, pushing it into Glenn and Cody's vehicles. Damage was estimated at $8,000. Winter was cited for failure to stop in an assured, clear distance and failure to have proof of insurance.

Jaimee Knorr of Waukee reported a case of identity theft.

A vehicle driven by Steven Crawford of 2805 30th Street, Des Moines, was westbound on Southeast University Avenue. Police said as Crawford was going through the intersection with Alice's Road, a vehicle driven by James Biscoglia of 16768 Aurora Court, Clive, made a left turn onto Alice's Road and struck Crawford's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
