Man Charged with Shoplifting from Goodwill: Waukee Police Reports

June 23
Alan Orth, 51, of 761 Camp Cardinal Blvd., Coralville, was arrested in the 100 block of Southeast Laurel Street and charged with fifth-degree theft. Police allege Orth shoplifted clothing worth $11.78 from the Goodwill store.

A vehicle driven by Zachary Marchal of 2170 S.E. Prairie Creek Drive, Waukee, was in a parking lot in the 300 block of Fourth Street. Police said Marchal's vehicle went forward and struck an ice machine. Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $200; damage to the ice machine was estimated at $1,500.

Amanda Ortolano, 34, of 1019 Collins Drive, Waukee, was charged with simple assault. Police said Ortolano was upset with a boy who called her daughter a name.
