Volunteers with Obama for America opened an office in Waukee yesterday at 225 N.E. Dartmoor Dr.

Campaign volunteers in Waukee took another step closer to getting President Barack Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden a second term in the White House.
Staffers yesterday opened the Obama for America office at 225 N.E. Dartmoor Dr., Suite 300, in Waukee. Volunteers met with area residents to discuss the President’s plan to keep taxes low for Iowa’s middle class, among other hot topics on the campaign trail.
The Waukee office was just one of 28 offices to open in and around Iowa yesterday. Offices nearby include ones in Indianola, Ankeny, Altoona and Des Moines.

Julie Stewart Zeisman, campaign chairperson for Desmund Adams' campaign said the opening was a success.
"The Adams for Senate campaign has a separate room within the OFA office. There will be a volunteer most weekday evenings at the office," she said. "Desmund Adams, candidate for Senate district 22, Eric Brenneman, candidate for House district 44, and Ken Herring, candidate for House district 19, each spoke before a video of President Obama was shown. The office was packed with supporters."
