Police: Routine Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Waukee Teenager
A young Waukee man was arrested last week after a routine traffic stop found him in possession of a controlled substance.

A Waukee man was arrested last week after a routine traffic stop found him in possession of more than just his license and registration.
Around 11 p.m. on Aug. 30, Waukee Police stopped an 18 year-old male at the intersection of Southeast University Avenue and Manor Drive and cited him for improper rear lamps.
Also during the stop, officers found the man in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released to his parents after his booking at the Waukee Police Department.
