Waukee Emergency Parking Ban In Effect

WAUKEE, IA — The City of Waukee will enforce a Snow Emergency Parking Ban beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11. The parking ban will remain in effect until 5 p.m. Friday.

Due to the expected dropping temperatures, coupled with rain or sleet, the metro area could see a "flash freeze" during the morning commute or through midday. Officials advise drivers to keep a safe stopping distance from vehicles in front of you and to allow extra driving time to reach your destination.

The parking ban applies to all streets in Waukee. Per Waukee Municipal Code §502.17, vehicles in violation of the parking ban are subject to a $25 fine and/or towing.
