Advent and Christmas music program to be presented in Clive on December 20

Clive, IA—Join us for Gloria!, an uplifting program of Advent and Christmas music at 4 p.m., Sunday, December 20, at Faith Lutheran Church, 10395 University Avenue, Clive, Iowa 50325.
The concert, under the direction of Dr. David Johnson, director of music ministries at Faith Lutheran, will feature vocal music choirs, handbell ensembles and musicians from the Des Moines area. Plans call for the program to feature music of Antonio Vivaldi, George Frederik Handel and Daniel Pinkham. A free-will offering will be taken for the benefit of Soli deo Musica, the fine arts ministry of Faith Lutheran Church.
To get to Faith Lutheran Church, located in the western part of the Des Moines area, take Interstate-235 to the Valley West Drive exit. Go north on Valley West Drive to University Avenue, then go west. Faith Lutheran Church is on the north side of University Avenue by the Clive water tower.
Gloria! is the second of four events in this year’s season of Soli deo Musica, the twenty-eighth. Other events this year include the Luther College Symphony Orchestra, which will perform on January 29, 2016, and Mozart and More!, a concert of the sacred music of Hans Leo Hassler and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which is scheduled for April 3, 2016.
