Local businessman Jason McDowell brings established leather repair, plastic and vinyl restoration franchise to the region

Jason McDowell has spent nearly two decades working in customer service. As an IT professional McDowell spent years visiting customers’ homes, and fixing their technology problems. Fibrenew became a natural next step when he decided to launch his own business because of his passion for quality customer service.

Recently, McDowell become one of the newest members of Fibrenew family with the launch of his franchise serving West Des Moines, joining a network of more than 250 franchises across North America owned and operated by owners who bring Fibrenew’s proprietary restoration and repair services to homes, offices, medical clinics, cars, boats, and restaurants around their regions.

Fibrenew of West Des Moines serves areas including Des Moines, Drake, Pitzer, West Des Moines, Urbandale and surrounding communities. The company specializes in leather, plastic, vinyl and fabric restoration and repairs, saving consumers, businesses, and organizations money while bringing everything from an old sofa to the interior of a muscle car back to like-new condition.

“I chose Fibrenew because they are laser-focused on taking care of customers. I feel if you handle your business the right way and genuinely take care of people, you’ll end up being successful,” said McDowell. “My whole attitude and perspective on life has changed, and I want to grow this into something I could pass down to my kids. Turning this into a legacy would make me really proud.”

Fibrenew, founded in 1985, prides itself on being a flexible model that provides franchise owners the tools they need to grow their territory while offering them a business opportunity that helps them build a legacy and support their families. The franchise offers a straightforward franchise payment where franchisees flat monthly royalty instead of the typical percentage of earnings for franchise systems.

These qualities make him a perfect fit for the Fibrenew family,” said Jesse Johnstone, President of Fibrenew. “Jason has big ambitions for his franchise, but most of all he isn’t doing this just for himself. He wants to serve the community first, and provide a great life for his family; and this is the attitude we value at Fibrenew. When you put the people first the success will come.”
