West Des Moines Parking Ban In Effect
Violators of the emergency parking ban face a fine of $50 and/or towing.
WEST DES MOINES, IA — A citywide emergency parking ban will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, city officials announced today. The ban will remain in effect until 5 p.m. Friday.
Another round of snow and freezing cold is expected to move into the area overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning, with rapidly dropping temperatures turning wet pavement into ice.
The parking ban apples to all West Des Moines streets. Violators face a fine of $50 and/or towing of the vehicle.
