DPS officials said they have interviewed a number of people thanks to tips from the public and have conducted a number of ground, air and K-9 searches. KCRG reported that search locations have included farm fields and farm buildings and over 100 people have been interviewed.
DCI Special Agent Richard Rahn told KCRG that while her disappearance is suspicious, Tibbetts is still out there somewhere and is alive. Rahn said he anticipates that the agency will get new leads and will work through the weekend to locate Tibbetts.
