Travel Channel Adventurer Coming To West Des Moines
"Expedition Unknown" host Josh Gates has explored jungles, mountaintops and arctic climates — and now he'll check out West Des Moines.
WEST DES MOINES, IA — The annual dinner hosted by the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce will take guests on a virtual expedition as they hear about the exploits of adventurer and explorer Josh Gates, host of the Travel Channel show "Expedition Unknown." Gates will be the keynote speaker for the Chamber's March 8 event.
Gates will share his passion for the off-the-map excursions that have taken him across the globe as he investigates iconic mysteries, from searching for Amelia Earhart's plane in the South Pacific to looking for answers about whether the elusive Yeti really exists.
The Chamber event at Sheraton West Des Moines, 1800 50th St., begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.
