And anyone who does decide to go should bundle up.

Temperatures in Des Moines were expected to be around 22 degrees when the doors open and about 20 degrees when the event starts. While the event is indoors, Trump rallies have featured long lines outside the buildings where they are being held beforehand.

When the event lets out, temperatures will likely be below 20 degrees.

As of Thursday afternoon, some people were already waiting in line:

Trump's rally comes as he took to Twitter to attack Chuck Jones, the president of a steel workers union in Indiana.

"Chuck Jones, who is President of United Steelworkers 1999, has done a terrible job representing workers. No wonder companies flee country!" Trump tweeted Wednesday night, calling out the union leader by name.

"If United Steelworkers 1999 was any good, they would have kept those jobs in Indiana. Spend more time working-less time talking. Reduce dues," Trump said in a follow-up tweet.
