The Shawnee Mission School District is partnering this month with Johnson County Mental Health to provide three online training sessions for parents on suicide awareness and prevention.

These sessions are free to attend.
The training focuses on question, persuade refer, QPR, a three-step, life-assisting process to learn about the warning signs of suicide, ask the tough questions, persuade someone to get further help and assistance, and make appropriate and timely referrals. People do not have to be an expert in the field to learn these life-saving skills.

Those interested may choose 1 training time for March 23, 2021:
9 to 10:30 a.m.
2:30 to 4 p.m.
6 to 7:30 p.m.
