A Guy Says He’s ‘Fixin’ To Blow Up’ Bathroom And Police Arrive

Fellow didn't actually plan to bomb Wichita, Kansas, Home Depot bathroom. He just courteously warned other guys of impending unpleasantries.

WICHITA, KS — It’s become such a serious and at times dangerous world that people don’t always recognize a sophomoric bathroom joke when they hear it. For goodness sake, when a customer at a Home Depot store in Wichita said he was going to blow up the bathroom, he didn’t mean he had an actual bomb.

For this bathroom emergency — and from the way the guy described what he planned to do in the home improvement store’s men’s room, it did sound rather urgent — the police showed up and everything.

As news station KWCH in Wichita reports it, the customer's exact words, according to witness accounts, were:

"You all need to get out of here because I'm fixin' to blow it up."

It was the verbal equivalent of a courtesy flush, a warning to the fellows in the other stalls that it would, in short order, smell terrible in there and it would be best if they finished their business and exited in short order.

But one guy missed the humor and thought the guy was going to unleash a load of TNT or something. So he practiced what everyone from the local police all the way up to Homeland Security has been preaching — “if you see something, say something” — and let store management know that another customer had just threatened to blow up the bathroom.

A store employee called 911, reportedly saying: “We just had a customer here made what may have been a bomb threat. He said, uh, somebody told me there’s a bomb in here and you need to leave the building. He said it three times.”
