Kentucky Woman Lights Husband On Fire, Drives Him To Hospital: Authorities

The man was flown to a Cincinnati hospital in critical condition with burns to more than 50 percent of his body.

CORBIN, KY — A Corbin, Kentucky woman poured gasoline on her husband and set him on fire following a domestic dispute and fight at their home, authorities said.

Vera Wooten, 40, drove her husband to St. Joseph London hospital for treatment after setting him ablaze Monday night, the Laurel County Sheriff's Office said. The man was flown to a Cincinnati hospital in critical condition with burns to more than 50 percent of his body.

Wooten was charged with assault and was jailed in the Laurel County Detention Center. It's unclear if she has an attorney. The sheriff's office is investigating.
