Kentucky Woman Steals Wallet From Motorcycle Crash Victim: Authorities

Scott Bray went over an embankment and hit a tree. Witnesses reported seeing a woman going through Bray's waller before deputes arrived.

ROCKHOLDS, KY — A Kentucky woman stole the wallet of a victim of a fatal motorcycle crash and was arrested, authorities said.

Scott Bray, 36, lost control of his motorcycle Wednesday morning and went over an embankment, striking a tree, the Whitley County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. The county coroner declared him dead at the scene.

Witnesses told responders they saw a woman going through the victim's wallet before deputies arrived, media outlets reported. Authorities later arrested Alishia McElfresh, 37, charging her with theft by unlawful taking under $500 and tampering with physical evidence. It's unclear if she has a lawyer.
