Ex-Miss Kentucky USA Charged With Smuggled Pot Into Prison
Kia Hampton would face up to three years in prison If convicted of bringing drugs onto government facility grounds, a third-degree felony.

LOUISVILLE, KY — Miss Kentucky USA from 2011 has been charged with smuggling marijuana into an Ohio prison for an inmate.
Kia Hampton, 28, of Louisville, was crowned Miss Kentucky in 2011 and was the first black woman chosen to represent the state in the Miss USA Pageant.

An Allen County, Ohio grand jury indicted Hampton earlier this month, media outlets reported.
If convicted of the third-degree felony charge of bringing drugs onto government facility grounds, Hampton would face up to three years in prison.
