GLI president and CEO, Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, issued the following statement regarding last night’s passage of the Louisville Metro budget.

“GLI applauds Louisville Metro Council and Mayor Fischer for creating and passing a budget that prioritizes our community’s economic recovery and will allow our region to move forward and rebuild stronger than before. Among many other line items, we appreciate significant funding earmarked for the West End Opportunity Partnership, Evolve502, and various initiatives to curb the growing rate of violence in Greater Louisville. In addition, we believe the thoughtful distribution of American Rescue Plan dollars will make a meaningful impact on our economic recovery and are hopeful for continued progress as the remaining funds are allocated.”
