Louisville Is One Of 10 Coolest US Cities To Visit: Forbes

That's right. Derby City is finally getting the respect it rightfully deserves.

LOUISVILLE, KY — Louisville, Kentucky, has been named one of the top 10 coolest cities to visit this year by Forbes. Tom Marchant, the co-founder and owner of Black Tomato, told the news outlet that Derby City is all about "good times and good vibes."

Marchant says Louisville features a vibrant music and art scene and is coming into its own when it comes to food and drinks. Forbes specifically cited the Bulleit Bourbon at Stitzel-Weller Distillery as a "must-see."

And of course, it's "all characterized by notable southern hospitality," Marchant said.

Forbes also noted the various great lodging choices available for travelers, including the Brown Hotel and the 21c boutique hotel.

Other cities that made the list include Philadelphia, home of the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and now the Vince Lombardi Trophy, Detroit and Baltimore.
