Paducah School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Paducah is August 10. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Paducah Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/9: Opening Day
• 8/10: First Day for Students

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/9 - 10/13: No School (Fall Break)

November

• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/21 - 12/30: No School (Christmas Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Holiday)
• 1/2: No School for Students (Flexible Professional Development Day)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday)

March

• 3/9: No School for Students (Flexible Professional Development Day)

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/18: Last Day for Students
• 5/21: Closing Day
