Patch took a poll for the best cajun food in Baton Rouge and the results are in!

Patch asked Baton Rouge to choose your favorite Cajun restaurant in town. After tallying up the votes, Louisiana Lagniappe Restaurant was chosen as the best local Cajun cuisine!
Louisiana Lagniappe Restaurant opened in Destin, Florida in 1984. After 14 years the owners sold the restaurant and returned to their home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On January 1st 2003 Louisiana Lagniappe opened in its present location at 9990 Perkins Road in Baton Rouge. They specialize in fresh seafood and steak dishes and also feature an extensive house-made dessert menu.
Fans rave about Louisiana Lagniappe's almandine fish, blackened shrimp, and eggplant appetizers and the restaurant was given the 2014/2015 Winner of Best Seafood, Best Cajun/Creole, and Best Overall Restaurant.
