The PRC is an established and respected 47-year-old organization that has evolved significantly in the past few years, and our upward trajectory continues. We are looking for a highly motivated Major Gifts Officer who is ready to do the work to forge relationships with new major donors and sponsors who will be attracted to supporting the new direction and work of this organization. At the same time, a successful Major Gifts Officer must put in the time to nurture decades-old relationships with major donors who have supported PRC through it all. PRC’s Major Gifts Officer will also have an eye for opportunity, and help the organization identify new revenue sources. The PRC’s Major Gifts Officer needs to be experienced with the fundraising landscape and its players in this truly unique city, and importantly, be passionate about the city of New Orleans and our built and cultural heritage. Passion for who we are and what we do as an organization will make “selling” PRC to donors and sponsors organic and more effective, and it will give the Major Gifts Officer energy to fundraise to make our programs possible. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, warm, and above all things, collaborative in nature. Our team at PRC is one that thrives by working together to achieve goals, and celebrates each others’ talents and accomplishments. The Development department in particular relies on this model, since the Major Gifts Officer will work in tandem with the Membership and Grants Officer to achieve fundraising goals.
