Maine Driver Survives Moose Collision
A Maine driver in Glenwood Plantation crashed into a moose, police said.
GLENWOOD PLANTATION, ME — A Maine driver is lucky to be alive after colliding head-on with a moose, according to state police. The crash happened Tuesday night in Glenwood Plantation. The driver was identified as a 49-year-old Brunswick man.
State police said the moose crossed in front of the man's 2003 Chevrolet sedan as he traveled north on Route 2A
"(The driver) could not avoid the animal and struck the moose causing substantial damage to the hood, front bumper, front windshield, back windshield, and roof," state police said in a statement.

The driver suffered a cut to his head and a hurt wrist. He refused hospitalization, police said.
The driver's vehicle was a "total loss," police said.
