It's Official: 2020's Back-to-School Stress Is Worse Than Ever, Especially in Maine According to a New Data Study

Back-to-school season often comes with a rush of different emotions for parents. This year, like so much else, these emotions have been pushed to the extreme.
The usual anxieties about our children’s learning, friendships, and lunches are compounded by fears for their health — both physical and mental — in the age of COVID-19.

Online learning platform and homework help community Brainly conducted a data study measuring instances of particular stress indicators relative to geographical location between July 18 and August 17. The Back to School Stress Index was created by measuring instances of particular stress indicators relative to geographical location and ranking them based on the search popularity within each state.

The Top 10 States Most Stressed about the 2020-2021 back-to-school season were:
