Maine Red Claws Open Tryout
The Maine Red Claws, the amateur affiliate of the Boston Celtics, are holding an open tryout in Waltham, Mass. Saturday.
WALTHAM, MA — Think you can ball with the best? The Maine Red Claws — the Portland-based amateur league affiliate of the Boston Celtics — is holding an open tryout this weekend in Massachusetts.
The tryout will be held Sat., Sept. 24 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Celtics' training facility in Waltham. Participants must be over the age of 18. The same-day registration fee is $200.
Players will have the opportunity to earn an invitation to the Red Claws' November traning camp.

The training facility is at HealthPoint in Waltham.

The Red Claws play at the Portland Expo in the 22-team NBA Development League. They open the 2016-17 campaign on Nov. 11 in Oklahoma City. Their home opener is Nov. 18 against the Long Island Nets.
