ABERDEEN, MD--Now that Starbucks is being sued for allegedly under-filling their lattes, you’re probably going to need another go-to spot to take your mother-in-law when she comes to town for the holidays.
Luckily, Aberdeen has plenty of top-notch local options to fill the foamy gap that Starbucks left behind, and coffee’s not your only choice.

We asked Patch Readers about their favorite spots in Aberdeen to take visitors. Here’s how to ensure a repeat stay:
- "Mamie's. My brother in law wants to go there every time he comes to visit. We also visit Havre de Grace because of the shops and waterfront." "We love Mamies. Our family took us there when we visited them in 2014. Love it, in fact we went 2xs in the week we were there. Also saw an Ironbirds game. Got a tour of the stadium earlier when no one was there. Loved it."
- "Ripken Stadium. Legends of the fog, historic places like West Bel Air Avenue or the church ruins off Stepney."
- "well, this brings up an idea-- the Double T Diner would be a nice attraction to stand where the New Ideal Diner is now! That would be a really nice place to take some one-- my kids took me to the one ,I believe is in Bel Air? And I loved it"
- "Olive Tree"
