UPDATE:Â The Department of Public Works staff have completed the repairs to the water line. We are in the process of restoring water to the affected areas over the next hour to two hours. There may be some air in the systems which may require residents to flush lines until the water flows clear. As a reminder, the boil water advisory is still in effect until further notice.

8:05PM:Â Crews anticipate repairs to begin in the next hour. Estimated return of service will begin approximately by midnight. We estimate that it will take several hours for the water system to return to full pressure. As a reminder, the boil water advisory is in effect when service is returned and until further notice. See below for more information.
The City of Aberdeen announces a precautionary drinking water advisory to residents of the Travelodge on West Bel Air Ave and all areas West of Interstate 95 which affect all residents along Technology Drive, Maryland House, Stadium Town Center residents along Long Drive to include Ripken Stadium, and Eagles Rest Area. We are current experiencing problems with a water main break at West Bel Air Ave and Interstate 95 that serves water to residents of Aberdeen who live on the West Side of Interstate 95 for the City. We expect to restore water service to all customers by Thursday, June 17, 2021 by 10pm. A boil-water advisory is issued to consumers in the affected area because loss of water pressure increases the risk of contamination in a water distribution system. As water service is restored, consumers are advised not to drink the water without boiling first. The water may be used for bathing and washing. Residents should bring water that will be used for drinking, food preparation, making ice or brushing teeth to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute. After boiling, remember to allow water to cool before use. This advisory is a precautionary measure and will be lifted after water service is fully restored and testing confirms the absence of bacterial contamination. This may take 2-3 days.  A notice will follow when the advisory has been lifted. Thank you for your patience. If water is discolored, run water from a tap in the lowest part of the house until water looks clear. For more information, call Department of Public Works Water Plant Operations at 410-272-2650
