Daytime Testing Noise May Be More Noticeable: APG
Aberdeen Proving Ground has issued an alert Wednesday for residents of communities around the military installation.

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MD — There may be some unusual noise coming from Aberdeen Proving Ground on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Authorities from APG say that daytime testing is planned Wednesday that could produce sound heard outside the installation.
"These operations will not be hazardous to residents of surrounding communities and are a necessary part of the Army's Testing mission," according to APG.
APG personnel will monitor noise readings and weather throughout the day on Wednesday.

Tuesday may have resulted in more noise than usual as well because of the weather, APG officials reported. Sound can travel further in colder temperatures, officials said.
