Griswold Home Care, Walgreens Team Up for Flu Shots

Griswold Home Care of Harford and Cecil Counties has teamed up with Walgreens to ensure its clients and area residents are vaccinated against the flu this season. A Walgreens pharmacist or nurse practitioner will administer the free flu shots on Nov. 3, 2017, 3-5 p.m., to those who are pre-registered at the Griswold office located at 602 S. Atwood Rd., Suite 001, Bel Air, Maryland.

While those with insurance can ordinarily get the vaccine at no charge, those without will particularly benefit from the relationship. Simply pick up a voucher for the flu shot at the local Griswold office and bring it with you the day of the vaccination.

“This vaccination event underscores the importance of getting a flu shot, especially for our seniors. However we are opening up this opportunity to our caregivers and the community at large,” says Brenda McVey, regional director of Griswold Home Care, which is headquartered in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. “Walgreens has been leading the charge on flu shots every year, so we are happy to be partnering with them for such a healthy cause during the coming season”.
