UPDATE: Harford County Public Schools Announce Monday Decision
School officials cited weather conditions.

Harford County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, officials announced Monday morning.
Here is the official statement from Harford County Public Schools:
HCPS CLOSED today, Monday, February 2, 2015. Afterschool/evening activities are cancelled. Code Blue employees report at 11:00 a.m.

Due to below-freezing temperatures, the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement Monday morning alerting people to the fact that untreated surfaces are icy, particularly sidewalks; in addition, weather officials said that fog could limit visibility to one-quarter mile.
Preliminary information provided to the National Weather Service indicate there was ice accumulation of 0.35 inch in north Bel Air Sunday night.

Other Schedule Changes
- Havre de Grace city government will open at 10 a.m. Essential employees should report as scheduled.
- Harford Community College and Towson University of Northeastern Maryland are opening at 10 a.m. Monday.
- Harford County government offices will open at 10 a.m. Monday. Critical employees should report in accordance with policies established by their departments.
- Federal agencies in the Washington, D.C., area are opening two hours late with the option for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.

School officials issued the following announcement Sunday night:
“Due to weather conditions, Harford County Public Schools will open TWO HOURS LATE tomorrow, Monday, March 2, 2015 with no morning Pre-K. We will re-evaluate in the morning.”
