Harford County Public Schools Delay Opening

On Tuesday morning, Harford County Public Schools officials announced that there would be a two-hour delay.

• HCPS will open two hours late on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
• Morning prekindergarten is canceled.

The region is under a winter weather advisory for snow until 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snowfall is expected to continue through mid-morning, with 0.5 to 1 inch of additional accumulation falling between 5 and 10 a.m., according to the weather service.

Roads, bridges and overpasses may be slippery. The Maryland Transportation Authority advised allowing extra time for those who need to hit the road Tuesday.
