Harford County Public Schools Give Status for Friday

School system laid out plan for Friday, March 6.

Early Thursday evening, Harford County Public Schools announced that schools would be closed on Friday.

Snow was still falling Thursday night across the region, where 7 inches of snow had been reported in Havre de Grace and 6 inches were recorded in Bel Air before 5 p.m., according to preliminary reports from the National Weather Service.

Due to continuing weather conditions, Harford County Public Schools will be CLOSED tomorrow, Friday, March 6, 2015, Code Green.

Afterschool/evening activities are cancelled.

Essential personnel should await further instructions from their supervisors before reporting for duty.

During a “code green” situation, schools and offices are closed; daycare and evening activities are canceled; essential personnel report according to specific directions upon arrival; and no second shift custodians are on duty.

The school system was also on code green Thursday, March 5.
