Registration for STEM Summer Camp to Open
Registration for the U.S. Army CERDEC Math and Science Summer Camp will open Feb. 1.
The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center, located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, is pleased to host the 2016 Math and Science Summer Camp at Harford Glen Environmental Center in Bel Air, Maryland.
This year’s camp consists of three, one-week sessions that will lead students through hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, also known as STEM, experiences in a fun-filled camp environment.
Program topics generally align with CERDEC mission areas, encouraging campers to become excited about the fields in which the APG community works. Campers will learn about opportunities and careers as well as gain insight into STEM professions.

- July 25-29 - ”Flight, Rocketry and Space: The Sky’s the Limit” for students entering 5th and 6th grades
*Please note that this curriculum was used for the 4th/5th grade camp in 2014. If your child will be entering 6th grade in fall 2016, and attended the 2014 CERDEC camp as a 4th grader, there may be duplication of activities. - Aug. 1-5 - ”STEM is the Future” for students entering 9th and 10th grades
- Aug. 8-12 - “What’s Up? Science and Engineering in Popular Culture” for students entering 7th and 8th grades
Camp applications open at 10 a.m. EST Feb. 1 and close at 8 a.m. EST Feb. 29. Applications are on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to children of current Active Duty Military members. Seats fill up quickly, usually within hours of the application portal opening.
