The fire marshal is investigating an arson attempt in a Harford County apartment building involving gasoline and a blanket.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — After a man doused gasoline in the Perrywood Garden Apartments on Thursday night, the fire marshal is asking for help identifying the suspect. Officials allege he was planning to set ablaze an apartment building that was occupied at the time.

Surveillance footage showed him putting a blanket on the floor, dousing it with gasoline and trying unsuccessfully to set the blanket on fire, according to the fire marshal.
