Public schools in Harford County will be closed on Thursday, March 5, according to Harford County Public Schools officials.

The announcement came Thursday morning, as Harford County was under a winter storm warning with several inches of snow in the forecast.

HCPS will be closed today, Thursday, March 5, 2015, CODE GREEN. Essential Personnel await further instructions.

Due to current and impending weather conditions, Harford County Public Schools will be closed today, Thursday March 5, 2015, Code Green.

Essential Personnel should await further instructions from their supervisors before reporting for duty.

During a “code green” situation, schools and offices are closed; daycare and evening activities are canceled; essential personnel report according to specific directions upon arrival; and no second shift custodians are on duty.
