Maryland School Closings/Delays List For 12/16/19
The weather has forced some schools to cancel or delay events and activities Monday around Maryland.
MARYLAND — Districts across Maryland are announcing school closings and delayed openings due to the winter weather hitting the state. A wintry mix fell overnight, and snow was continuing to fall Monday morning.
Patch will be closely monitoring the weather as the state deals with slippery conditions from the wintry mix that is blanketing the area.

Below is a list of school closings and delays for Monday, Dec. 16.
- Allegany County Public Schools: Closed
- Baltimore County Public Schools: Closed
- Carroll County Public Schools: Closed
- Cecil County Public Schools: Two-hour delay
- Garrett County Public Schools: Closed
- Harford County Public Schools: Closed
- Howard County Public School System: Closed
- Montgomery County Public Schools: Closed
- Washington County Public Schools: Two-hour delay
All others are operating on normal schedules.

Here's the latest from colleges and universities:
- Harford Community College: Opening at 9 a.m. Classes with one hour or more of instructional time left when the college opens will meet for the remaining time.
- Hood College: Offices opening on a two-hour delay.
- McDaniel College: Two-hour delay.
