Troopers Injured, Suspect Killed In Allegany County Shootings
A barricade ended with two troopers and a suspect shot, Maryland State Police reported.

ALLEGANY COUNTY, MD — One man died and two troopers were injured following a barricade in Allegany County, Maryland State Police reported Friday morning. The officers were responding to a barricade in Little Orleans at the time of the shootings, officials said.
William Charles Mackenzie, 52, has been identified as the deceased, police reported.
Officers were dispatched to a home in the Little Orleans area around 11 p.m. Thursday for a domestic incident. Mackenzie and his wife had gotten into an argument at the residence when he pulled out a gun and allegedly said: "This ends today," police told WBAL Radio.

The wife escaped and sought refuge at a neighbor's house, and police tried to convince Mackenzie to come out before shots were fired, the Cumberland-Times News reported.
The officers were flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment of leg injuries, while Mackenzie was pronounced deceased, according to the Cumberland-Times News.
