MARYLAND — While Christmas feasts are likely to have fewer faces around the table in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, that doesn't mean we'll skip the wine, dinner rolls or desserts. Which may mean a late trip to grocery stores.
If you need to pick up a key Christmas dinner staple, check our list. Many Maryland grocery stores will close early on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, and only a few will be open on Christmas Day for those last-minute shopping trips for food or hand sanitizer.

Albertson’s: Most locations are open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Christmas Day.
ALDI: Stores will be open Christmas Eve, but hours will vary by location; closed on Christmas Day.

BJ’s Wholesale Club: Most stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Dec. 25.
Costco: Most stores will be open limited hours Christmas Eve, and all stores will be closed Christmas Day. Call ahead to confirm hours with your local store.
CVS: Most locations are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Christmas Day.
Food Lion: Stores will be open until 7 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day.
The Fresh Market: Stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
Giant Food: Most stores are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Christmas Day.
Harris Teeter: All stores will open at their regular time and close at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve. Stores are closed Christmas Day.
H-E-B: All stores are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day.
Lidl: Most stores will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and remain closed through Christmas Day.
MOM’s My Organic Market: Most stores will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and will be closed Christmas Day.
Rite Aid: Most locations will be open Christmas Day, but hours will vary. Call ahead to confirm hours.
Safeway: Most stores are open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call ahead to confirm hours.
Sam’s Club: Stores will be open until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day.
ShopRite: Most stores will be open until 7 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
Target: Most stores will close at 8 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
Trader Joe’s: All stores will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. Stores are closed Christmas Day.
