$10K Reward For Tips In Fatal Severn Shooting: Police

The Anne Arundel County police are offering up to $10,000 for information on the fatal Dec. 30 shooting of a Glen Burnie man.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — The Anne Arundel County police are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information on the shooting of a Glen Burnie man who died on New Year's Eve. Jon Edward Price Jr., 28, succumbed to his wounds at 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 31 at a local trauma center, the police said in a statement.

Responding to the report of a shooting the previous afternoon, officers found Price in the 8100 block of Meade Village Road in Severn. He had sustained gunshot wounds, the police said, but they did not release further details.

An autopsy performed on Friday, Jan. 4, determined that Price's death was caused by gunshot wounds, "with the manner being homicide," the police said.

The department's homicide detectives have been pursuing leads, interviewing individuals and executing search warrants in searching for Price's killer. The evidence collected so far "suggests this was a targeted crime and not a random act of violence," the police said.

The Police Department is offering the $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Price's shooting death. The detectives are asking anyone with tips to call the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731.
