ANNAPOLIS, MD — A 24-hour run around the Annapolis Towne Centre raised $12,500 for charity earlier this month, a Capital Gazette column said. Author Bob Cawood noted that the beneficiary, Danny’s Fund, battles addiction in Anne Arundel County.

Cawood mentioned that the Charm City Run-Annapolis race started at 6 p.m. on June 2 and continued until the same time the next day. The course was a 0.94-mile loop around the shopping center, the author wrote.

The story added that Serge Arbonna won the men's division, running 118.44 miles. Cawood clarified that Meghan Curley led the women's division, taking third place overall with her 82.72 miles.
