6-Year-Old Boy Shot In Annapolis: Police
Police said a 6-year-old boy was shot in Annapolis. Medics took him to the hospital, a report added.
ANNAPOLIS, MD —Police said a 6-year-old boy was shot Sunday in Annapolis. The Annapolis Fire Department took the child to the Anne Arundel Medical Center and alerted law enforcement, an incident report noted. Authorities expect the child to survive.
Officers added that they arrived at the scene around 1:57 p.m. The victim was already at the hospital, the write-up clarified.
Police explained that the boy was shot in "his lower extremity." The shooting happened inside an apartment in the unit block of Bens Drive, the press release indicated.

Officers think it was an isolated incident. They did not mention who pulled the trigger, however. Detectives are still investigating.
The Annapolis Police Department asked anybody with information to call 410-260-3439. Tipsters can stay anonymous by dialing 1-866-7LOCKUP. Informants could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 if their tip leads to an arrest or an indictment.
