The Anne Arundel County police are raising the reward to $10K for tips to solve six 2018 murders in Glen Burnie, Severn and Laurel.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — Chief Timothy Altomare announced Friday that the Anne Arundel County Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward in each of six murder cases this year that remain unsolved. His announcement came during a police news conference on the arrest of Dillon Augustyniak, 18, a Jessup resident accused of shooting and killing an Annapolis man last week in a model home in Hanover.
Three of the unsolved killings occurred in Glen Burnie, two in Severn and one in Laurel, according to the police.
"Gun violence this year has really shaken Anne Arundel County," said Steuart Pittman, the county executive, at Friday's news conference. "It's absolutely essential that the Police Department and the community work together."
