From The Travis Manion Org: The 2017 Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run, scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, September 17, at the Navy-Marine Corp Memorial Stadium, is now open for registration at http://www.travismanion.org/tmf_911run_race/annapolis-911-heroes-run/.

Hosted by the Travis Manion Foundation, the Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run includes a 5K and 1M Family Fun Run that unites the community in remembering the sacrifices of the heroes of the September 11th attacks and in the wars since. Proceeds support the Foundation’s programs assisting veterans and families of fallen service members, and promoting character among today’s youth.

“This year marks the 10th anniversary of when Travis was killed in action in Iraq while saving his wounded teammates,” said Race Director Natanya Levioff. “There is no better way to honor his memory than by gathering the community to show appreciation for our local first responders and the men and women who protect our country.”
