Annapolis Waterfront Mansion to Be Auctioned for Millions Saturday
This 12,000-square-foot house has a lighthouse tower housing a third-floor sitting room that offers panoramic views of the water. Plus, an in-ground pool, eight-car garage, guest house, office, pool house and two boat houses.
If you have a few million dollars free -- maybe more -- you can be the next owner of an Annapolis waterfront estate that will be auctioned Saturday.
An open house is under way Friday, May 23, until 4 p.m. at the property at 1234 Cherry Tree Lane. The auction is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, according to DeCaro Luxury Real Estate Auctions.
The estate is set on about 6.24 acres cape along the South River and Duvall Creek in the Fishing Creek Farm area of Annapolis. The home has been in the family since 1940, part of what was once a tobacco farm.
Owners John and Gail Gilice told WBAL TVÂ it's time for them to downsize. The house has six bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths.

"All the kids are gone and it's a big house for my husband and myself and it's just time to move on and let someone else enjoy it," said Gail Gilece.
Along with the home, there are two boat houses an eight-car garage and a two-bedroom, two-bath guest apartment.Â
