A four-vehicle crash on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge temporarily closed the westbound crossing, officials said.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Highway officials said a Tuesday afternoon crash temporarily closed all three lanes of the westbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. A press release noted that the victims needed emergency medical services.

That write-up clarified that four vehicles were involved in the accident. Highway cameras showed an ambulance presence at gantry 12, which is about halfway across the bridge.
