CASA Announces Rally for Individual Separated from Family
CASA members plan to attend a rally and advocate alongside the family of Guillermo Encinos Morales on July 3.

From CASA: Guillermo, a local artist and handyman from Annapolis fled the violence in El Salvador in 2005, has been detained and separated from his family since April 4th, 2017. Participants from United Church of Christ General Synod in town for their national conference will be joining CASA and the Annapolis Sanctuary Network in a march and rally in front of the Baltimore Immigration Customs Office to advocate alongside the family of Guillermo Encinos Morales to ask that he be released from detention with a motion to stay of his deportation so he can apply for asylum. Guillermo is father of 4 children and grandfather of seven and has no criminal background. This rally comes in wake of the recent Boathouse Canton incident when 30 employees left after a request from ICE to review I-9 forms.

Where: Baltimore ICE office in front of the federal building, 31 Hopkins Place
