Center Lane Of Westbound Bay Bridge Closed Feb. 18-21

The upcoming center lane closure of the westbound span of the Bay Bridge helps protect the workers as they pour concrete.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Starting Tuesday, the center lane of the westbound Bay Bridge will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. until Friday. Construction crews will be taking advantage of lower traffic volumes and anticipated warmer temperatures. The center lane closure helps protect the workers as they pour concrete onto the westbound right lane.

During the center lane closures Feb. 18-21, the remaining lane will be 11 feet wide, meaning wide loads – vehicles wider than 10 feet – will be prohibited. Operators of wide-load vehicles should adjust westbound travel times. The MDTA encourages motorists to allocate extra travel time.
