EDGEWATER, MD — Police arrested a Bowie woman Friday in connection with a maskless encounter and assault earlier this month. Officers said the woman and her male partner entered the Edgewater Cold Stone Creamery without face coverings on Nov. 7.

The ice cream shop workers told them to mask up, but they refused, an incident report noted. After a brief argument, the man assaulted both employees, police added. According to the writeup, the duo drove away in a Silver Nissan Altima before police arrived. The car's tag number is unknown.

Officers heard word of the incident around 7:20 p.m. They came to the store, located at 15 Lee Airpark Drive, but could not find the suspects.
